What’s your position at MemberSuite?
I am the Accounting and Finance Specialist on the Technical Support Team at MemberSuite. I support our associations with all their needs but specialize in Financials, Billing, Orders, Reports, and Advanced Searches.
Where are you from?
I am from Belton, TX and came to GA in 2004 to finish High School. I lived with my father and step-mother. I still live in the same area as I did back then, just a new neighborhood on the Tucker/Decatur line. I fell in love with Atlanta because it is a big city made up of small communities so I get the best of both worlds here. Plus, this city is extremely diverse and I love learning about different cultures and learning new languages.
How did you get into Technical Support?
I received both my bachelor’s in Accounting and master’s in Taxation from Georgia State University, Robinson College of Business, Honor Program. My professional experience has been in computer science, computer information systems and customer service.
What should we know about you?
I have a logical/mathematical/scientific mind that is constantly analyzing the world around me. I love working in teams where we can learn from each other’s strengths to help ourselves improve on our weaknesses. Additionally, I believe in radical candor because it helps when everyone is communicating honestly and clearly. We cannot improve at the rate we need to if we are not open to being wrong and constructively criticized.
What is one of your hobbies?
Hiking. I’ve got a list of places I want to hike in North, GA and beyond. I fell in love with hiking when I was granted a Gorge Floor Pass at Tallulah Falls. I’ve always hiked places like Stone Mountain and other simple trails but the Gorge Floor was a real challenge and got me hooked!
What is the best part of working at MemberSuite?
The people - both internal and external. I love the teams I get to work with on a daily basis. We work hard and are there for each other when we need help or support. I would not be successful if it wasn’t for my team’s open knowledge sharing. I also love helping our customers!
|Anything else you'd like to share?
I married into a Cajun (Louisiana French) family. My last name is pronounced KOO vee awn. If you like food, I’ll invite you to a famous Couvillion crawfish boil or pig roast when you’re in town.
