Thanksgiving is a great time to show your members a little extra love, but why wait until November to show your appreciation? Here are some things you can do to thank your members throughout the year.
1. Just Say "Thank You"
It may sound a little too simple and obvious, but those two magic words can make all of the difference. The great thing about saying “thank-you” is that there are several ways you can do it. Depending on the number of members you have, pick up the phone and give them a call or send them hand-written thank-you notes. If that sounds a bit out of the question, you can send them a fun e-card to express your thanks.
2. Offer Special Deals
It’s not uncommon for associations to have discounts, but change it up by offering discounts and deals simply to say “thanks.” This could be a discount on event registration, online store merchandise, or continuing education courses.
3. Put Your Thankfulness on Social Media
Are your members active on social media? If they are, you can give thanks there. Get your staff involved and post a team photo on your profile holding a “thank-you” sign. Or you could post a list of reasons of why you’re thankful for your members - speaking to them directly.
4. Recognize Your Most Engaged Members
Engaged members are your most valuable players. They get others involved, they become advocates, and they make your lives easier. Why not reward them for all that they do for your association? Try sending them a gift-card, flowers, or cookies to make their day.
5. Finally Purchase That New AMS
If you have been thinking about getting a new AMS, do yourself and your members a favor and do it. Not only will modern Association Management Software help you and your team be more effective in your roles, it will also help you deliver an experience that your members will be thankful for.
