Meet Salvador Cervantes – Technical Support Engineer
What’s your position at MemberSuite?
I am a Technical Support Engineer (TSE) with the Customer Support Team.
Where are you from?
My mom is from Nicaragua and my dad is from Mexico, but I was born in San Bernardino, California. My family came to Georgia when I was 13-years-old, and have lived here ever since.
How did you get into Customer Support?
I really started to get into customer support a few years back when I was working for a restaurant chain in Atlanta as tech support right after graduating college. I just fell in love with the ability to solve technical issues for people, and just seeing the sigh of relief after.
I have a degree in Computer Networking Administration, which is a fancy way of saying, I know how magic works inside a computer and how to fix it when it is not working correctly.
What should we know about you?
- I am a father of two wonderful little girls. (Yes, I’m outnumbered at home three to one.)
- I breathe, eat, and bleed technology!
- Huge fan of experimenting with foods and cooking.
- Can not bake to save my life, even if all I have to do is place it in the oven, it somehow always burns.
What do you like to do for fun?
Nothing beats being able to spend a day with the wife and little ones at an outdoor event or the park. And for the days that aren’t so great for outdoor events, making some hot chocolate and getting into a thriller or suspense TV show is just fine for me.
What is your favorite project you’ve worked on at MemberSuite?
Currently the project on revamping and organizing the knowledge base!
What is the best part of working at MS?
The whole thing! But it really comes down to our customers and coworkers. We have the most amazing, caring, and understanding customers we could ever ask for. Together with all the people here that make up MemberSuite, I honestly would have to say that it’s a family here.
Anything else you’d like to share?
Being a dad of two little girls, is the best job in the whole world, even when my oldest wants to put makeup on me!
