Show Your Members Extra Love This Valentine’s Day
In order to have engaged members, you must be engaging. Is your association missing opportunities to get your members involved? It’s almost Valentine’s Day, so why not celebrate by showing your members a little extra attention? Here are a few ways to spread the love:
Give your members a Valentine’s Day discount
One way to engage members and encourage them to do more than they usually do is to offer a discount. Give the gift of membership by offering a 14% off code for membership registration or renewal. Offer free or discounted courses in your learning management system to promote continuing education for your members. If your organization utilizes an online store, you could offer a buy one get one free promotion so that your members will sport your brand. Or, if you have an event coming up, offer a Valentine’s discount on registration.
Shower them with gifts
We’re not saying you should send them 100 red roses, but there are a few things you can give your members on Valentine’s Day that are appropriate. Many organizations team up with consumer merchants to offer members a discount on flowers, candy, jewelry, or wine. You could send your VIP members a box of chocolates. Or you could raffle off a free Valentine’s Day gift like a getaway or a restaurant gift certificate.
Give them your attention
How often do you show your members a little TLC? Often times, recognition and appreciation go a long way. If you didn’t financially plan to do anything for your members on Valentine’s Day, you could easily send them a virtual Valentine’s Day card via email or publicly recognize great member accomplishments on social media without spending a dime.
